Feeling sporty or like walking? - then use the track which runs along the bottom of the garden. This beautiful track was originally the old train track and the chemin (track) is very popular with walkers, runners and cyclists alike. It stretches for 20km, and joins the villages of Medreac, Plouasne, Le quoi, Evran and eventually leads to Dinan. If you are feeling a little less energetic but would like something a little unusual why not try the velo-rail at Medreac
Prefer sailing? - Betineuc lake nearby has a man-made beach offering boat-hire and sailing, you can also cycle here. There are many sailing schools along the coast all within an hours drive.
If shopping is your thing - For larger shops and stores we have the lovely historic town of Dinan only 30 minutes away. Also within an hours drive of us you can get to St. Malo with its famous walled city on the sea-front, aquarium and of course ferry ports. Dinard is a quick trip across the bridge from St Malo. Rennes is definitely worth a visit, with its wonderful architectural city centre, outside shopping complexes, and of course Ikea.
Something especially for the children - visit Cobac Parc and spend the day running around in this children's park set in attractive woodland. La Bourbansais Château and Zoo at Pleugueneuc is wonderful for both young and old and is under 30 minutes away from us. Ice Skating is available in Rennes and St Brieuc all year round except July & August.
All year round, interest for all the family - visit Historic City of Becherel This beautiful historic city was awarded 'City of Books' in 1989 and is currently one of only 3 in Europe to be awarded this title. Well worth a visit, and very popular with tourists on holiday. They have a section on their website in English, where you can find out more about why it has been named 'City of Books'.
The village of Le Quiou is not far from us. In the village of Le Quiou you can take a free tour of the recently discovered roman settlement which dates to 300ad, there's also the Château de Hac and its beautiful gardens. You can eat crepes at the creperie, enjoy a drink in the bar, or pack a picnic and eat it in picnic area. As well as driving to get to Le Quiou you can come via the chemin, on foot or by bike.
